“The Kingdom Mission”: And Jesus came and spoke to them saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20TABC Sunday School (SS) Mission Statement
Our prayer is that through the power of the Holy Spirit working in us that people would come to faith in our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ and serve Him through worship, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship and ministry.Worship – “Present your bodies a living sacrifice; holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1) SS involves people in worship by leading them to acknowledge who Jesus is and to express love to Him personally and corporately.Evangelism – “One and only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) SS lead people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.Fellowship – “So we being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” (Romans 12:5) SS guides people to establish and build enduring relationships with God and His people.Discipleship – “Are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:15-17) SS calls for Bible teaching that facilitates the Holy Spirit’s work of spiritual transformations in the lives of learners. In other words, it involves guiding people to integrate biblical truth into the total fabric of their hearts, minds, will and actions.Ministry – “For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12) SS equips its members for ministry. This is accomplished through encouraging Bible study that build disciples and through working with other ministries to train and develop Christians to be faithful servants to Christ.
